DOSAGE AHCC Wins Nutracon Award for Best New Product of 2002 AHCC has been the subject of some 325 clinical studies conducted at prestigious Japanese institutions such as Hokkaido University, Kyorin University and Teikyo University. Several studies are slated in the U.S. for 2002 at institutions such as Columbia Presbyterian and Faulkner Hospital. AHCC's most notable observed effects have been in enhancing or boosting the immune system to allow other cancer treatments such as radiation or chemo-therapy to work successfully. Researchers have observed an increase in the strength of the body's natural defense mechanisms in patients taking AHCC. It appears that AHCC increases the body's tolerance of other cancer treatments and therefore increases the effectiveness of those treatments. The effects of Active Hexose Correlated Compounds as a cancer treatment has been documented in case studies, laboratory experiments and one double blind study. Other double blind studies are being prepared for publication. Other studies, including one at Harvard University, are being conducted. Some individual case studies report a complete remission of cancer and its symptoms, and a complete remission is sometimes equated to a cancer cure. Nevertheless, AHCC by itself must not be considered a cure for cancer. As with any nutritional supplement, patients should consult with their doctors when taking AHCC. *The statements contained herein regarding AHCC are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice.
