Testosterone levels begin to naturally decline in men starting in middle age, leading to changes in DHEA and cortisol hormone levels and resulting in a variety of symptoms that are generally referred to as andropause. These symptoms include:

 

• Reduced energy, libido, and sexual function

• Reduced muscle bulk and bone density

• Weight gain largely manifesting in the midsection

• Mood swings and increased stress

• Emotional changes such as depression or lack of motivation

• Even cognitive or sleep problems
